Ohio USSSA Pride

The OHIO PRIDE organization exists for the specific purpose of developing a competitive youth fast-pitch softball program whose goals are to develop players capable of competing at the highest levels in the country with the demonstrated skills necessary to earn a college scholarship. Our dedicated coaches and volunteer staff facilitate our athletes’ growth by conducting challenging practices and scheduling the highest level of competitive activity available. Reaching these goals must be accomplished within the proper framework, instilling character, self-esteem, confidence and sportsmanship. 

2022-2023 Ohio Usssa Pride Tryouts

On August 13, 2022, we will have a tryout for all of our teams at Pickerington Central High School.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your age group tryout to check-in,


8:30am - 11:00am  for all 9u / 10u / 11u / 12u teams

Noon - 2:30pm   for all 13u / 14u teams

3:30pm - 6:00pm   for all 15u / 16u / 17u / 18u teams

Remembering #8

 Sophie Mazgay

Ohio USSSA Pride will retire the number 8 jersey for the entire organization in memory of Amanda Clearcreek High School Senior and Ohio USSSA Pride Blue third-baseman Sophie Mazgay, who was killed in a car accident on Wednesday September 2nd, 2020. Sophie was starting her 10th season playing for Coach Chris Mason and teammates Rachel Mason, Emma Burke and Keirsten Hale. She was an incredibly talented athlete and a big-hearted friend to all.

Photos were taken Sunday August 30th, 3 days prior to the accident, when Sophie played her last games.

USSSA PRIDE BLUE 07 close out their season going 6-0 to win the Canfield 50 Legs tournament on July 23rd 2023. Check out 50legs.org for more details on the fundraiser.

USSSA Pride Blue 07 win their 4th straight tourney finishing the summer season with an impressive 37-10-1 overall record! This group of ballers have by far exceeded the expectations of a first year 16U team. Firing on all cylinders, pitching, hitting, and defense they came out swinging in every game scoring 341 runs and only giving up 153 runs. The future is very bright for this group, keep an eye on them next season coming into the top end of 16U.

USSSA PRIDE BLUE 07 goes 7-1 to win the Showdown in Steel Town tournament on July 16th 2023.

USSSA Pride Blue 07 wins their third straight tourney in a row. These girls battled the 90+ degree heat and rain for 4 days. Up next, these girls will travel to Canfield, OH to compete in the 50 Legs fundraiser tournament on July 21st-23rd 2023. Check out 50legs.org for more details on the fundraiser.

USSSA PRIDE BLUE 07 goes 5-2-1 to win the Buckeye Recruitfest Bronze tournament on Sunday July 9th 2023.

USSSA Pride Blue 07 notched 6 more homeruns in route to win the bronze bracket of the 2023 Buckeye Recruitfest tournament. Up next, these girls will travel to Monroeville, PA for the ACS Showdown in Steeltown July 13th 2023.

'23 Champions WV Midsummer Mayhem!

Pride BLUE 07 GOES UNDEFEATED TO WIN THE 2023 wv midsummer mayhem tournament

USSSA PRIDE BLUE 07 goes undefeated (9-0) to win the WV Mid Summer Mayhem tournament on Sunday June 25th 2023.

This was a great team win for the Ohio USSSA Pride Blue 07 team. Bats were alive with 81 hits, 7 of those being homeruns! Scoring 72 runs while only giving up 26 in 9 games this weekend. These girls have this coming week off, then we're back for Buckeye Recruitfest July 7th-9th 2023.

OHIO USSSA PRIDE Navy added two more strong finishes to their July resume with a second place finish at the USSSA Frew Park Summer Classic and a very impressive 3rd place finish at the USSSA Super 48.

“These kids have competed and played so hard this season” said 2nd year Navy coach Jason Booth. “I am so proud of their effort and their willingness to listen and learn.” “We have taken a giant step forward this season.” Navy will have a few weeks off before their season fires back up again following tryouts on August 15th.

OHIO USSSA PRIDE Platinum won the Pride Challenge a weekend ago finishing 5-0. They also finished 3rd at the Grandslam Showcase in Findlay the weekend of June 27th-28th. Both tournaments were played up in the 16U division. The Pride Challenge was dominated by Platinum pitching giving up only 6 runs in 5 games. They are back in action down in Pigeon Forge for the SEAA World Series.

Pride White had two fantastic weekends winning the USSSA Freedom Festival tournament and a very strong 6-1 runner-up finish at the Lou and Shorty (16U-18U) in Dayton OH.  Their hot streak will continue in the USSSA Nationals in Destin FL.


Pride Teal won a pair of tournaments recently going a fantastic 12-1 in the Goodbye Covid-19 and the Fastpitch and Fireworks tournaments over the last few weekends. They dominated both tournaments from start to finish and have been on a roll as of late. Teal is back in action this weekend in the Great Lakes Summer Showcase.

OHIO USSSA PRIDE Royal finished a very strong 3rd place over the fourth of July weekend. They have a had a great year and the Freedom Festival was no different. They were dominant most of the weekend but fell just short in the Semi-finals. They followed that up with a solid 3rd place finish at DES Super 48 in Marion this past weekend. Royal will take the field again at the Celine Wyatt tournament in Hillard.

Pride Royal finished a sizzling 7-0 this past weekend at the Kickoff to Summer Champions in Marietta. The team hit seven homeruns lead by Dylan Hunt who hit three. Emily “ET” Travis followed Dylan’s lead with two of her own. Lynsay Vanhoose and Ally Ernsberger also each went yard for Royal. Royal is off this week but will be back in action again on the Fourth of July in Zanesville at the Eastern Ohio Freedom tournament.

OHIO USSSA PRIDE Red (10U Barnett) gets their first tournament championship of the 2020 season with a perfect 5-0 weekend at Uncle Charlie’s Showdown in Findlay Ohio. Red, leaving nothing in doubt on Sunday with 3 run-rule games, (9-1 vs. Mavericks Fastpitch, 13-1 vs. Lasers Blue, and 14-0 vs. Lady Rebels). They are back in action this weekend in Lancaster for the USSSA Central State Qualifier.
